Fancy Street Food in LA at Susan Feniger’s Street
Posted on November 16, 2011 | No CommentsIt only took me a few minutes to clue in to the fact that the restaurant is called Street because it is inspired by street food around the world. Street's only downfall is that the broad spectrum of tastes they offer don't lend themselves to building a single cohesive meal. I wouldn't go there if I was looking for a normal meal, but if I felt adventurous and wanted to snack on a variety of great bites Street would be a must see in LA. It would also be a great place to bring someone if you weren't sure what kind of food they're into. -
Breakfast at The Providores in Marylebone London
Posted on August 7, 2011 | No CommentsBeing located in a slightly posh part of town, breakfast wasn't exactly cheap with dishes ranging from £6-11, but other places nearby seemed to charge the same prices for much more basic fare. While the Tapa Room (where they serve breakfast) did get a little crowded by mid-morning, the service was fast and friendly. If I'm staying in Marylebone the next time that I'm in London (or if Mrs A|T decides to hit Oxford street in the morning) I will absolutely return here for breakfast -
Palm Court Afternoon Tea at The Langham in London
Posted on August 5, 2011 | 2 CommentsJust as no trip to Venice is truly complete without a very expensive ride in a gondola, a top notch afternoon tea in London is something that should be splurged on if you can arrange it. Afternoon Tea at Palm Court was an absolute experience. The food was beautiful, imaginative, and delicious while the service was out of this world great. -
Fish and Chips at the Golden Hind in London
Posted on July 15, 2011 | 1 CommentI ended up going for fried cod with sides of chips and mushy peas, and a ginger beer to wash it all down. The portion of cod was very large and the coating was very crisp yet not greasy. Because the fish was so good, the chips seemed unremarkable in comparison. The mushy peas were too starchy for my taste, but that seems to be the case every time I have them in London so that's probably traditional. -
London Foodie 5: TomEatsJenCooks
