Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence
Posted on March 29, 2012 | 9 CommentsThe Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence is located in an old British fort overlooking one of the entrances to Victoria Harbour. On the eastern end of Hong Kong Island, the fort is high atop a hill and still has many of the original structures originally installed by the Brits in 1887. -
Museo Galileo – Galileo Museum in Florence Italy
Posted on January 12, 2012 | 11 CommentsAfter eating Lampredotto at the market, my second favorite thing that I did in Florence was to visit the Museo Galileo [www.museogalileo.it]. Florence is most well known for its museums that house classic sculptures and works of art, but if historical artifacts mean more to you than classical art, then the Galileo Museum in Florence is an absolute can't miss. -
Hong Kong Museum of History
Posted on November 30, 2011 | 15 CommentsIf you're in Hong Kong and feel like taking a break from the eat-shop-eat-shop-eat-eat-sleep pattern, the Hong Kong Museum of History is a great way to escape. Located in the Tsim Sha Tsui part of town it's actually kind of difficult to get to by the MTR subway system. On a nice day it is walkable from Kowloon, or you can take the MTR to the Hung Hom station and wander through the Hong Kong Technical College.
