The Letter G in Small World at Hong Kong Disneyland

The theme for Disney Wordless Wednesday [focusedonthemagic.com] this week is the letter G. I’ve decided to pick a few things that start with G that I found on the It’s a Small World Ride at Hong Kong Disneyland.

You always hear the stories of parents being dragged through Small World over and over again. It’s a must see ride for us and we ride it a couple of times each trip, but luckily I find that there really are a lot of different things to see and soak in each time. I’ll usually ride through once taking pictures (without the flash, of course!) and then on the next time around I’ll just soak it all in.

I like to point out some of the world landmarks to the kids in hopes that they become familiar with them and will get that much more excited when they get to see them for real one day.

  1. Great pictures! IASW is so difficult to capture because of the low light and the movement of the boat. You did a beautiful job! I love this ride. It always brings a smile to my face! Thanks so much for sharing and for joining us in the hop today!

    • Yes, they can be tough shots to take. If you have an SLR you can use a prime lens to get shots like these without having to use a flash.

    • Up until this year I would have only suggested HK Disneyland only as an add-on to a Hong Kong trip and would have diverted people to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. Hong Kong had a pretty small park with very few rides but with the addition of Toy Story Land last year, Grizzly Gultch this year, and Mystic Point next year I think it now stands up nicely against all of the other parks. 2013 would be a great time for a first visit!
